This one started out as a Stainless steel Regent 1911 in 45. ACP,while it is a very nice shooter. The factory stainless that Umarex puts out is just not that good looking. We had this one engraved on the right side with the Molon Labe logo and symbol. It was also refinished in two custom cerakote colors a light cobalt and a custom silver mix for added corrosion protection. It also was equipped with better sights a Novak rear with a fiber optic front, VZ grips fully tuned,and two Wilson Combat eight round mags are included.

This started life as a new GI Tisas 1911 9 mm pistol . It was totally rebuilt internally and externally. Custom split hammer and trigger sysytem from Fusion Firearms were installed and tuned. The grip safety is an Ed Brown memory pad and the safety was replaced with an oversized extended Ed Brown Ambi type. It has an extended Dawson Percision Mag release, VZ Grips and a full lenght stainless guide rod sytem and fitted barrel bushing. It was refinished in a custom Midnight Green mix with a custom silver cerkote on the parts. Topped off with Heine Ledge Novak cut rear sight and a fiber optic front. Another easy recoiling out standing shooter that comes with 4 Springfield Amory 9 mm mags.

We customized this gun for speed shooting. It has a variety of upgrades done to improve lockup time, trigger pull, and accuracy.

The coating was pretty standard for the black, But on the silver we used extra hardener in the mix to give a higher gloss.

Starting with a new base model Tisas 1911 with ambi safety it was completely torn down and custom built from the frame up using a Fusiion Firearms competition split hammer, sear ,disconector and trigger components package, upgraded firing pin and spring ,full length stainless guide rod system, Ed Brown memory pad grip safety ,Fusion chainlink pattern stainless main spring houisng and magwell. The slide has been lightenen with cosmetic porting. The entire pistol was refinished in Cerakote. The sights are a Heine ledge style with a fiber optic front sight. It has a Dawson Precison extended mad release and is finished off with a nice set of VZ grips. Comes with 2 Wilson Combat 8 round mags. Outstanding shooter.

This 1911 Govt Model sports a Henie ledge style rear tacical sight with a fiber optic front and Vz grips that were coated as well to match the rest of the pistol.

These are some fresh photos of my son's 1911. This was done around the end of January 2013. This just shows how cerakote holds up after more than a year.

We have changed a couple parts since then, the Sear, Hammer, and Disconnector kit from Cylinder and Slide. The Hammer Strut was also swapped for a lighter titanium one. And after the cerakote started to wear off the barrel we polished the barrel hood.

Original Post 'My son likes to make use of the spare parts we've accumulated over the years. So for his 21st birthday we got a rock island frame to use with an old US&S slide and barrel from my parts box. Most of the other parts also came out of the 1911 parts box. We went with a match bushing and full length guide rod from Wilson Combat to tighten up the fit. My son also flared and lowered the ejection port to modernize it. After it was built we test fired it without sights before coating it in Satin Mag and a Custom Dark Grey.'
