Information
We primarily use Cerakote H-Series Coatings which is a baked on ceramic finish, The Air-Dried C-Series is also available for parts which cannot be baked. It is a very tough ceramic based coating that is very resistant to normal wear and tear such as holstering. It will still wear off over time though if carried constantly, but it is a gradual process because it doesn't flake or chip like other finishes.
Colors
Click here to view our Cerakote Color Chart, please note not every color is listed or stocked. If we do not have a color in stock we can order and have it within 3-4 business days.
We also do various custom mixes, So if you are looking for something unique talk to us about it. We've done many custom mixes already, including our own Scorched Dark Earth color, among others.
Patterns and Designs
EFR offers various Patterns and Designs for your firearm. We have a vinyl cutter and can create custom stencils for your provided artwork or we can also create designs based on your ideas. We also do Custom Airbrushing and Sponge Camos as well.
Our Process
Primarily here at EFR we use Cerakote to refinish firearms. Over time we have refined our process to achieve a consistent finish. We start with complete disassembly of the firearm then we remove any oils, Next we media blast with aluminum oxide, Then the parts are washed with cleaning chemicals again. At this point cerakote is mixed, applied an then the parts are baked in one of our custom built ovens.
Pricing and Quotes
Each firearm is different, we understand that and we'll do an individual quote on each to price it accordingly. For example a Ruger 10/22 and a Remington 870 in a single color wouldn't be the same price because the Remington has a much greater surface area.
There is a 10% discount year round for all current and former military and police members on refinishing services.
